| Its 4:30am & the Sand Man can't keep me under his spell any longer. So I relax & watch a little TV before heading off to Granny's at 6:00am Sunday morning to get this AARP body fueled with energy that I'll need to have to push Team Susuki & Team Polais to thier limits! I only know ONE THING!!!! HE! HE! Team Susuki & Team Polaris better have thier jock straps on & be READY!!!!!!! LOL!!!!!!!!!! Sure enough come 8:00am Team Susuki & Team Polaris rattle into Motel 6's parking lot, with a buddy who rides a Honda 300ex. With a thumbs up they start to unload & get thier quads ready for today's Great Adventure. Team Polaris has troubles right out of the gate as the 500 Polaris Scramler's throttle cable is FROZEN! NOT a good omen for Team Polaris~! HE! HE! Thanks to Speedy's mini micro torch the quad is up & running in half an hour. Bill Moore thanks me for the help & Earl & his Susuki & the 300ex also get ready to do battle with the GRIZZLY!! After crossing Rt # 61 & heading off towards the I-81 crossing the pace is normal & everything seems normal! HE! HE! After crossing I-81 & letting the other quads get acclimated to the snowy conditions, Speedy Racer chuckles to himself as he drops the hammer on the Grizzly & heads south across the powerline at WARP SPEED~ ! Within a minute or two , NO ONE is in sight !!!!!!!! LOL!!!!!!!!!! WHERE are the HUNTERS ?????? They won't skin a Grizzly IF the can't CATCH HIM!!!!!!!! HA! HA! No sooner do I let them catch sight of thier prey, than Speedy Racer drops the hammer on the Grizzly& it fades once again off into the distance! For miles we play this cat & mouse game , but eventually the Grizzly has proven his point & lets the Sports quads stay with skinning distance! HE HE! With only four quads in todays wintery ride , the pace remains brisk & the miles click off fast ! With all quads having pretty good ground clearance , I head our hearty bunch off to break some freah trails near Minnersville, Pa. The view is simply breathtaking! |
