| Its 3:20am Sunday morning as I roll over & stare at the the big bright numbers staring out at me from the darkness in my room at Motel 6 in Frackville, Pa. The combination of my bulging bladder & headache have chased the Sand Man away prematurely . As my eyes ajust to the darkness, I see Chad sleeping like a baby on the other side of the room. Knowing my trusty Grizzly is still crusty from Saturday's ride, I get dressed , take care of my bulging bladder & tip toe out of the room to let Chad continue his visit with the Sand Man. Once at the carwash I clean & shine my trusty quad & get ready for our next " GREAT ADVENTURE " . Come 6:00am , I return & give our riders a wake up call & head over to Granny's for a nice hot breakfeast. Before long the others have joined me & we discuss todays upcoming route. Thanks to Mark's earlier exploration , we now have a Northern route that takes us towards Hazelton, Pa. Once our hungry bellies are stuffed with some good grub, it time to unload our trusty quads & head NORTH! Dave Porzi from Mt. Carmel , Pa. & his 4x4 Grizzly along with Jason Cannon & his new 400 Susuki Sport Quad were waiting for us upon our return to Motel 6 parking lot. |

| After welcoming our early morning arrivals & getting our quads gased up & warmed up , our happy group of ORV fanatics head northward to see what we may see! Because of the DUST the pace is modest as we traverse the first series of trails that let us access the mountains towards Hazelton, Pa. Once clear of civilization I can hear the happy banter of my fellow SPEEDBALLS as we enter the first of many tight twisty trails that we will encounter this BEAUTIFUL summer morning. After 45 to 50 minutes, I'm at the HILL CLIMB area that I wanted Chad & his 502ex to challenge !!! There are STEEPER hills, more TECHNICAL hills, BUT these coals piles are STEEP, TECHNICAL & SOFT!!!!!!!!!!! SOOOOOOOOO SOOOFT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
