Photos for November 29th & 30th!
Hi Folks,
Saturday November 29th was COLD & WINDY , BUT NINE hardy souls braved the elements to join  Speedy Racer on a northward jaunt to further explore the Hazelton area. What we found was a whole NEW trail system that seemed to go on & on FOREVER! The ONLY thing that prevented us from going further was the gas guzzling two stroke Banshee of Ron ! TWICE we had to return to the Exxon station to refuel this gas guzzler! LOL! MAYBE he will get a bigger tank or a four stroke in the near future?????
We even managed a nite run after dropping off six COLD & WEARY riders who's bodies told them " ENOUGH for one day ". Once refueled  two Grizzly's ( Speedy & Ben) & two Kawasak  Pararie's ( Chris & Mike)BLASTED off into the wilderness! Speedy was feeling REAL frisky & dropped the hammer on the GRIZZLY!!!!! After about 8 miles of a semi-suicidal pace ,  Speedy felt the Grizzly wasn't handling quite right & pulled over to check things out??????? BOTH left side tires were FLAT!!!!! Left rear tire had two holes & left front flattened rim! Three plugs in the rear & a three pound sledge hammer corrected the problems & with the aid of an air compressor , Speedy & the Grizzly were off & running once again ! LMAO!!!!!!

Up & over mountain after mountain we went! It was pitch BLACK by the time we rumbled back into the Motel 6 parking lot & NOW everyone was ready for a HOT shower & supper! 105 miles of hard riding in VERY COLD weather will take a toll on most anyone's body , especialy us OLD farts who suffer from arthritus ! LOL!

Sunday saw another nine riders Join Speedy for a trex southward to the SWAMP & points beyond. On the way to the SWAMP , I took a SLIGHT detour & got our group in a very tight hunter's trail that could be exited  by ONLY going down a short STEEP bank & after crossing a shallow stream back up another short STEEP bank. John McGinnis even rolled his NEW Grizzly accessing the last part of this narrow & sometimes off cambered trail. I caught most everyone on film as they traversed this tricky section of woods.

Once past this obstacle it was off to the SWAMP & time to play in the MUD & MUCK! Jim Hudak & his KTM dirt bike followed in Speedy's  wake as the  Grizzly  pushed the deep water through the tunnel under I-81. We sure had FUN & once again I captured my fellow atv fanatics exiting the SWAMP! The WATER was DEEP after alot of rain the last few days! By 1:00PM we had covered another 65 miles across the beautiful mountains of Pa. & in the process discovered ANOTHER new trail system! YAHOOOOOOOO! What a GRAND weekend! Hope you enjoy the photos I took of our misfits as they rattled their way over & through most every type of obstacle you can imagine!  Hope MORE of you can get past the COLD & join us for our NEXT Great Adventure! Your AARP atv buddy!
