After taking a short photo break, it was time to get these quads  moving along & see what Mother Nature had to offer us today. After exploring numerous  technical trails that we had  bypassed or missed on Saturday, we start to Speedball in earnest & the miles begin to click by fast on my tripometer! As I round a curve , I'm flabbergasted by WHAT confronts me eyes !!!!!!!! Here in the middle of NOWHERE is a TOTALLY burned  out 4x4 quad sitting on the side of the trail!!!!!!!! Russ being the jokester that he is , poses with the now charred remains of this quad!
Rumor has it that a Polaris owner got so fed up with being beat up on by the new Grizzly's , Kawasaki 650's & NOW the Honda Rincon's , that when his quad conked out at the top of this mountain , ENOUGH was ENOUGH & set the sucker on fire in TOTAL disgust!!!!! WHO KNOWS??????????????

After a few more chuckles &  some more discussion about this quads demise , it was time to proceed up the trail  if our goal of  100+ miles was to be realized by days end. So with one last glance at the charred remains of this quad , our happy ORV fanatics put thier quads in gear & resume the dash across the mountains of WV. The miles seems to go by fast as we are all lost in the seemingly timeless beauty of these mountains before us & squealing with delight as  the wildlife  continues to dash across the trails in front of our quads. Wild turkeys , deer , chipmonks , squirrels , rabbits, ground hogs, ruffled grouse , quail , large woodpeckers, crows  & numerous other feathered critters flash before our eyes as we continue our trex towards Gilbert, WV.
